I am a Master’s-qualified Counsellor specialising in couples therapy, with experience supporting individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds across educational settings, non-profit organisations, and private practice. I am deeply passionate about emotional and relational wellbeing and believe that our most meaningful healing and growth occur within relationships— with ourselves and with one another.
My multicultural upbringing across South Asia and the Australian community has shaped a deep appreciation for how cultural context, values, and intergenerational experiences influence relationship dynamics, communication styles, and emotional expression. This perspective allows me to work sensitively and respectfully with couples from diverse cultural, religious, and social backgrounds.
My therapeutic approach is person-centred and emotion-focused, informed by Family Systems Theory, trauma-informed practice, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and an understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their impact on attachment, intimacy, and relational patterns. At the core of my work is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, which provides a powerful framework for understanding and transforming relational distress.
Using IFS, I help couples recognise how protective and wounded parts — often shaped by past relational or traumatic experiences — become activated during conflict, disconnection, or emotional withdrawal. By supporting each partner to access their core Self and Self-energy, couples develop greater emotional safety, curiosity, and compassion toward themselves and each other. This process reduces reactivity, softens entrenched patterns, and allows deeper connection and trust to emerge.
I work with couples in areas including building and repairing trust, navigating separation and divorce, couple and family reunification, same-sex relationship challenges, infidelity, sexual difficulties, and experiences of relational violence. Alongside couples work, I also offer individual therapy for concerns such as eating disorders, gender identity-related stress, anxiety, depression, bullying, drug and alcohol addiction, panic attacks, grief, loss, and trauma.
In a safe and compassionate space, I support clients to explore difficult emotions and recurring relational patterns with curiosity rather than judgment. Through this work, couples heal past wounds, strengthen emotional bonds, and develop the tools needed to move forward with clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of connection. Individuals gain deeper self-understanding, healthier coping strategies, and improved emotional wellbeing.
