Hypnotherapy

Through deep relaxation and focused attention, hypnotherapy helps you access the inner resources needed for change, healing, and growth. It's a safe, natural process that supports a wide range of emotional and behavioural challenges.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a gentle, focused approach that uses guided relaxation and attention to access the subconscious mind. In this deeply relaxed state—similar to daydreaming—you remain aware and in control, while becoming more open to insight, positive suggestion, and change.

Hypnotherapy can support a wide range of issues, including anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, habits, sleep difficulties, and trauma. Sessions often involve identifying the root of an issue and working with inner imagery, language, and body responses to shift patterns that feel stuck or overwhelming.

How does hypnotherapy work?

Hypnotherapy is a safe and proven method of enabling positive change by inducing a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus. During this trance-like state, individuals can access deeper parts of their subconscious minds to enable stronger receptivity to positive suggestions. This collaborative process between client and therapist allows exploration and resolution of a wide range of challenging behaviours, thoughts and emotions.

What makes hypnotherapy unique?
Research in psychology suggests that up to 95% of human behaviour is governed by subconscious processes - such as habits, beliefs, thought patterns, and emotional reactions. This helps explain why it can be so difficult to resolve psychological or emotional challenges through logic or willpower alone. Hypnosis offers a proven and effective way to access and update the subconscious mind, allowing for more rapid and seamless change.

Will I still be in control of myself?

Absolutely. Hypnosis is not about losing control but gaining a heightened sense of focus and concentration. You remain aware of your surroundings, and your moral and ethical values remain intact. The therapist serves as a guide, assisting you in achieving your therapeutic goals, but you always retain control and can choose to end the session at any time.

How many sessions do I need for a particular issue?

The number of sessions required varies depending on the individual and the nature of the issue being addressed. Some individuals may experience their full desired changes after just one session, while others may require more. Most clients attain their desired outcomes within 3-6 sessions. During your initial consultation, your hypnotherapist will discuss a personalised treatment plan based on your specific needs and progress.
