Ari McNamara

Ari is an integrative psychotherapist who works with individuals and couples. Ari’s approach to counselling and psychotherapy is compassionate, creative and collaborative. She works with clients to explore their cognitive, emotional, somatic and relational patterns and how these might be reweaved to allow for more ease, creativity, joy and freedom.

Ari does not believe in pathologising people but rather recognises the pathology in systems that prioritise profit, competition and consumption over wellbeing.

Ari has a passion for supporting people to explore and understand relationship patterns and sexual intimacy issues. She has experience and interest in supporting queer couples and couples who practice non-traditional relationship structures such as polyamory.

Ari also works with people struggling with social anxiety, depression, grief, eco-grief, and self-esteem as well as existential questions around purpose, meaning and identity.

Ari’s psychotherapy approach has an emphasis on relationality and interdependence.
