Bridie Mills

- Integrative Psychotherapist -

Bridie is an integrative psychotherapist who offers a warm and non-judgmental approach to those he works with. He believes that individual mental health should be seen in the context of a whole - we are all influenced by the forces of the world we live in. He is led by those he works with and views therapy as a collaborative and creative process in which growth can be nurtured.

Bridie has a Masters degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy and actively pursues training opportunities in his modalities and areas of interest, including advanced Focusing training and training in working with trauma. He integrates Emotion Focused Therapy, Focusing-Oriented Therapy and Existential Therapy in his practice.

Bridie has worked within the LGBTIQA+ community, particularly with transgender and gender diverse people. He has also worked as one of a small number of donor conception linking counsellors in Victoria, assisting donor-conceived people and their families to navigate unique challenges. He is experienced in working with those affected by family and intimate-partner violence, including those who have caused harm.

Bridie is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Infertility Counsellors Association (ANZICA) and is registered with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

Bridie provides counselling and psychotherapy to adults and young people from 16 years of age. He welcomes those with experiences of marginalisation of any kind and those who feel othered by dominator culture. He is committed to learning outside of sessions about experiences he has less knowledge of.
