- Counsellor -
My practice is grounded in a belief that healing is relational and change is possible. I am deeply curious about what pain tells us about our values and our experiences of harm and injustice. I can support you to make meaning of your experiences, find ways to sit with distress and traumatic symptoms, let go of what is no longer serving you, and reconnect with your sense of agency and aliveness.
I am particularly passionate about working within queer and trans community. If you're looking for a counsellor who is warm, non-judgemental and values curiosity and complexity, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Key practice areas
- Queer and trans mental health
- Eating disorders
- Other struggles with food and body, including intersections with gender dysphoria and neurodivergence
- Family violence (including in LGBTQ+ relationships)
- Non-normative relationship structures
- IVF journeys, queer pregnancy and pregnancy loss
I can also walk alongside you as you navigate grief, bereavement, anxiety, depression, substance use, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, relationship breakdown, life transitions, and more. I understand that our individual struggles are often multilayered and profoundly shaped by intersecting forms of marginalisation.
How I work
I will work collaboratively with you to determine the most effective plan for our work together. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, but am particularly influenced by:
- narrative approaches
- somatic approaches
- liberatory harm reduction
- violence and trauma informed practice
Counselling with me is a safe and trusting space to reflect, heal and grow. Together, we can find ways to befriend your nervous system, connect with a sense of meaning and purpose, and work towards creating the changes you desire in your life.
