~Clinical Psychologist and Supervisor~
Suchona Reza Paul (Su) is a Senior Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor who works with adults and older adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief, stress, life transitions, and the emotional impact of health changes. She also provides supervision to student psychologists and clinical psychology registrars.
Suchona has a particular interest in supporting people who are adjusting to chronic health conditions, ageing, hospitalisation, changes in independence, carer stress, and significant life changes. She understands that illness and life transitions can affect more than just physical health — they can also impact confidence, identity, relationships, mood, and a person’s sense of control.
Her approach is warm, calm, collaborative and practical. Suchona aims to create a safe and supportive space where people feel genuinely heard and understood, especially during times when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or not quite like it used to be. She works collaboratively with clients to help them make sense of what they are going through, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and manageable.
Suchona provides trauma-informed, culturally sensitive and neurodivergent-affirming care. She draws on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness-informed therapy, while tailoring therapy to each person’s needs, goals and pace.
She welcomes referrals for adults and older adults seeking support with adjustment to illness, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, stress, life transitions, and emotional wellbeing.
