Play Therapy

Non-directed play therapy is a type of therapy in which children are given the freedom to play with toys and materials in a safe and supportive environment.

“Children need the freedom and time to play. Play is not a luxury. Play is a necessity.”

Kay Redfield Jamison

About Play Therapy

The therapist observes the child's play and uses it as a tool to gain insight into the child's emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. Unlike other forms of play therapy, non-directed play therapy does not involve specific goals or interventions. Instead, it honours the child's own wisdom and strengths, allowing them to take the lead in their healing journey.
